NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – Authorities have charged five young men with running a counterfeit ring in southern New Hampshire.

The five are charged with conspiracy to commit forgery.

Police began investigating last summer after businesses in Nashua reported receiving fake currency.

Investigators say they have recovered equipment used to make counterfeit bills. They have not determined how much bogus money was circulated.
