FARMINGTON – Charlie Woodcock, a longtime employee of Franklin Memorial Hospital and Franklin Community Health Network, has been appointed FCHN’s director of volunteer services.
Woodcock will oversee more than 225 volunteers, who contribute more than 26,000 hours of service annually. In addition to her responsibilities in the volunteer department, Woodcock will continue as director of Franklin Health Access, which helps uninsured and underinsured people in Franklin County with access to affordable health care services and free or low-cost medications.
Woodcock is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and began working in the laboratory at Franklin Memorial Hospital in 1975.
She served as the hospital’s medical laboratory director for more than 10 years, before leaving to lead Franklin Health Access in 2004. She lives in Farmington with her husband. They are the parents of four grown children.
