WEST PARIS – Announcement is made of the engagement of Maureen Bayer and David Hodson of Mill Valley, Calif.

Miss Bayer is the daughter of Tom Light and Wendy Allen of West Paris. She is a 1997 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and a 2001 graduate of Hampshire College. She received her juris doctorate and master’s degree in 2007 from Vermont Law School. She is currently employed as an attorney at the law firm of Hunsucker Goodstein and Nelson in Lafayette, Calif.

Mr. Hodson is the son of John Hodson of Kouts, Ind., and the late Lisa Hodson. He is a 1998 graduate of Purdue University and received his master’s degree in environmental engineering in 2001 from the University of Florida He is employed as a project manager at CH2M Hill in San Francisco, Calif.

An October wedding in northern California is planned.
