LEWISTON – Thomas A. Radcliff Jr., 66, of Hartford, died Friday, March 6, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Mechanic Falls on May 16, 1942, the son of Thomas A. and Sarah Coffin Radcliff. Tom attended school in Mechanic Falls and for most of his life owned and operated his own driveway paving and sealing business, retiring a couple of years ago. Many years ago he contracted with the town of Mechanic Falls to plow the sidewalks during the winter months.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his retirement he became quite a woodworker, redoing his home and building chairs. He and his wife spent several winters in Florida. He was a dedicated husband.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of Hartford; his children, Cindy and Blaine Cox of Lee, N.H., Annette and Bruce Welch of New Mexico, Tammy and Roger Brewer of West Paris, Thomas J. Radcliff and Joann Smith of Norway, and Tammy Martin of West Paris; six stepchildren, Carol Dozier of Cincinnati, Ohio, Crystal Lysinger of Tennessee, Lorrie and Norman Hersey of Turner, Raymond (Joe) Morris and Ann of Windham, Kelly Ann Grover of Litchfield, and Elizabeth and Joe Hutchinson of Greene; three sisters, Bernice “Helen” Page and her husband, Dale, of Poland, Sarah Harmon and her husband, Joe, of Limerick, and Mary Larrabee of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
