NORWAY – The Friends of the Norway Memorial Library’s Independent Foreign Film series continues with “Under The Bombs” (subtitled), showing at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the library.

The film takes place during a cease-fire in the Lebanon-Israeli conflict of 2006 when a Christian taxi driver and an untraditional Shiite woman find they have much in common, despite their religious differences.

All films are free and run about an hour and a half. Popcorn is also free. “Under the Bombs” is open to teens in grades nine to 12. For more information, call the library at 743-5309.

Cheer jam

PARIS – The second annual Oxford Hills Booster Youth Cheering Cheer Jam will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School gym.

Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students and free for 5 and under. Tees, bags and flowers will be on sale. Awards will be presented to teams after each performance.

Spaces available

BRIDGTON – There are still a few spaces left for those interested in showing art or fine crafts at the Bridgton Art Guild’s annual members’ summer show.

It is a juried show held in Shorey Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18. Rain date is Sunday, July 19. Each space accommodates a 10-X-10 tent.
