PORTLAND – Craig Curtis, 46, of Oxford, loving husband of Teresa Curtis (Brown), lost his courageous two-year battle with leukemia at Maine Medical Center, with his loving family and friends by his side, on March 8.

He was born in Norway, on July 19, 1962, the son of Daniel and Linda Curtis and was educated in local schools, receiving his high school diploma at OHHS in 1980.

He was a very hard working small business owner for 27 years, servicing car dealerships from Portland to Gorham, N.H. He also owned and ran a used car sales and service in Casco with his wife and sons. He worked in real estate investments for more than 18 years. Through his hard work and dedication, he provided his family with everything they could ever want, always meeting their needs with a glad heart. He developed and ran his businesses with such integrity and honesty.

He loved spending special times with his family and friends, especially the many vacations to Ocean Isle, N.C. He enjoyed playing basketball and playing the stock market. He also enjoyed history, Clint Eastwood movies and was a very passionate and dedicated football fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots.

He will always be remembered for his capacity to love and give endlessly to his family, always giving of his strength unselfishly to others during his own time of need. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor with all of the many tricks he played on his nieces and nephews.

He touched the lives of all who knew him in an enormous way throughout his entire life. He valued life and was valued by all who were touched by his life. He always appreciated and truly enjoyed all of the many “little things in life” and always had a smile.
