LEWISTON – Post 22, American Legion, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. Unit 22 Auxiliary will meet at 5:15 p.m.

A cake, celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the American Legion, and a buffet will be served by auxiliary members Sally Dumont and Louise Allen, assisted by Post 22 Commander Raymond Allen.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes for attending members. Joseph Paradis, Post 22 chaplain and service officer, will speak about the anniversary and about the four Army chaplains who gave their life jackets to U.S. soldiers during the sinking of the troop transport U.S.S. Dorchester on Feb. 3, 1943, in the North Atlantic.
