LEWISTON – The Lewiston Police Department, in conjunction with the Lewiston Fire Department, will be conducting a fund drive to help support the Maine Special Olympics.

They have planned a hockey game between members of the police and fire departments for the first ever Battle of the Badges.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. All of the concessions will be open during the game.

Tickets are available for a $5 donation, which will allow entry for a family of four. They are available in advance at the police deparment, fire department and the Colisee. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the game. Commemorative t-shirts will be sold the night of the game.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Maine Special Olympics.
