Masonic supper

NORWAY – A bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Masonic Lodge Hall, 9 Temple St. Cost is $7 a person. For more information, call 739-9672.

Relief supper

NORWAY – The Norway Fireman’s Relief Association will hold a roast beef supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Norway Fire Station.

The menu will consist of roast beef, salads, vegetables, rolls, beverage and dessert. Admission will be adults, $7; children under 12, $3; under 6, free.

Sunday services

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, Paris, invites all children to Sunday school and all adults to “Making the Old Story Our Story” at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 22. Worship service will be at 10:15 a.m. followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship. Bible study will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday followed with refreshments. All are welcome.

Blood drive

PARIS – A Maine Medical Center blood drive will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the American Legion Hall, Church Street, Paris. Walk-ins will be welcome.

Spring twirl jam

PARIS – Baton twirlers are invited to participate in a Spring Twirl Jam at noon Saturday, April 4, at Oxford Hills Middle School, Paris.

Baton twirling athletes from Poland, Mechanic Falls, Waterford, Rumford, Bethel, West Paris, Paris, Norway and Oxford will gather. Lewiston’s U.S. Twirling Association judges Pauline Moreau and Sheila Walton will officiate during the contest.

Society meeting

OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will hold its first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Oxford Town Office.

The program following the business meeting will be on the Depression food and recipes.

April’s meeting will be “The Victory Gardens,” which were planted during the Depression.

Everyone is invited. The cost to become a member is $5.

Saturday supper

SUMNER – The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have its first Saturday supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4. The meal will feature recipes from the newly published church cookbook, which will be on sale at the supper for $10. Donations for the meal will benefit the church. Ice-out tickets

BRIDGTON – Moose Pond ice-out tickets are $2 each and sales to date are well over last year’s numbers. The winner will receive more than $400.

Proceeds will support the Bridgton Community Center. Ticket sales will end Wednesday, April 1. Prize will be awarded 10 days after ice out and the winner’s check will be in the mail by June 2.

Tickets are on sale at Bridgton Community Center, Black Horse Tavern, Hayes True Value Hardware, Lake Region House of Pizza, Rick’s Diner, Linda’s Salon, Sportshaus, Chamber of Commerce (Bridgton and Naples) and Mountain Side Restaurant and Food City on Saturdays and Sundays in March. Site change

GREENWOOD – The ballroom dance classes, previously scheduled for Telstar High School, will be held at the Greenwood Town Hall, Route 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, April 1, 8, 15 and 29 and May 6.

Cost is $25 and all proceeds will go to Bethel District Exchange.
