LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education’s semi-annual Super Saturday event will be held on March 21. An assortment of morning and day long classes, seminars and workshops will be offered, including:

The Basics of Selling on eBay: Join certified eBay trainer Michael Mills to learn how to use the Internet’s most popular shopping destination. Clear out the attic while generating some supplemental income. Cost is $40, plus a $25 lab fee that includes an eBay guidebook.

Beading with Semi-Precious Stones: Participants will create a beautiful coordinated necklace, bracelet and earring set. Cost is $18, plus a $35 lab fee.

Clay Creations for Families: Transform everyday objects such as pens, bottles and light switch plates into unique expressions of personality using polymer clay. Cost is $17, plus a $10 lab fee.

CPR, First Aid and AED Training: Participants will earn certification from the American Heart Association in basic CPR, first aid and the proper use of an automated external defibrillator. Cost is $53, plus a $15 lab fee.

Create an Heirloom Teddy Bear: Participants will hand sew a traditional fully-jointed bear. Cost is $30, plus a $35 lab fee, all materials are included.

Enhance Your Digital Photos: Join Tessa Herland for tips and tricks to get the most out of digital photos. Cost is $29.

Hearty Soups and Stews: Join Denise Dill from Lots to Gardens to learn easy and economic ways to prepare healthy soups and stews. Cost is $23.

Microsoft Word in a Day: Review the basics of word processing, then move on to explore the many features of Word to incorporate graphics and spreadsheets into reports and newsletters. Instructor Pat Leclerc will also cover the art of controlling tables, bullets, mail merge, wizards and more. Cost is $55, plus a $10 lab fee.

Planning Home Renovations: For those beginning the process of planning spring and summer repairs and renovations, Jason Merritt will cover the essentials of window installation and trim, sheet rock patching and installation, interior trim, insulation tips to maximize heat values and more. Cost is $24.

Quilted Heart Wall Hanging: Participants should bring their sewing machines and will create a 12″ x 12″ wall hanging using the machine paper piecing method. Supply list provided upon registration. Cost is $32.
