LEWISTON – Police and fire officials late Thursday were investigating a fire that burned a minivan in an alley behind Lisbon Street.

No one was hurt in the 10:30 p.m. blaze, but a Dodge Caravan was extensively damaged before firefighters knocked down the fire that threatened an apartment building at 215 Lisbon St.

When firefighters arrived at the parking lot of Chestnut Street, they found the front of the Dodge in flames. It took only seconds before the flames were subdued, but a fire inspector was called to investigate the source of the fire.
