MEXICO – Nomination papers for an open seat on the Board of Selectmen are available at the Mexico Town Office.
Anyone interested in running for the three-year position must gather the signatures of a minimum of 25 registered voters, then return them to the town office by 4 p.m. April 24.
Incumbent Selectman Richard Philbrick, a Rumford public works employee who has served five years, has already returned his nomination papers. Budget Committee member Byron Ouellette, who is self-employed, has taken out papers but has not yet returned them.
Voters will choose a selectman at the June 9 primary election.
