AUBURN – Jeannette M. Soule, 80, formerly of 143 Mill St., Barker Arms, died Saturday, March 21, at Clover Manor.

She was born in Mexico, Oct. 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Evariste and Eva Roy Fleury. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Alson L. “Ike” Soule Jr. Nov. 7, 1981. He predeceased her April 6, 1999.

She lived in Philadelphia from 1954 until 1968. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Quality Weaving for 14 years. She was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at St. Louis Church, New Auburn Senior Citizens and the Barker Mill Arms Association.

She is survived by four daughters, Georgette Gable and Anita Davis, both of Philadelphia, Pa., Denise Gentile of California, and Theresa Carr of Greene; two sons, Mark Girard of Chesapeake, Va., and Gregory Girard of Edinburg, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Diana Markos of Gardiner and Jane Serwacki of North Berwick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice Fleury of New York.
