LEWISTON – SeniorsPlus is inviting older adults across Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties to attend one of their Spring Cleaning Benefits Fairs.

“The main goal of this fair is to help older adults get their paperwork in order, make sure they have all the documents they need and to go over any benefits they may be eligible for,” said Connie Jones, director of community services at SeniorsPlus.

Representatives from SeniorsPlus will be on hand to answer questions, provide resources and meet with seniors one-on-one to discuss Medicare concerns.

Department of Health and Human Services will go over the food supplement and Medicare Buy-In programs; Healthy Maine Community Coalition and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will distribute health information and provide blood pressure checks; and attorneys from Legal Services for the Elderly will be there to help attendees complete advance directives.

In addition to the benefits check-up, attendees will receive a free document file folder with instructions on how to organize paperwork.

Thursday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Franklin Memorial Hospital Bass Room, Farmington.

Tuesday, April 14, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., SeniorsPlus, 8 Falcon Road, Lewiston.

Friday, April 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Norway Town Hall.

Tuesday, April 21, 9 to 10:15 a.m., Rumford Senior Center.

Tuesday, April 21, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Boofy Quimby Hall, Turner.

Thursday, April 30, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Brownfield Community Center.

Friday, May 8, 10:30 to 1 p.m., Fryeburg Town Hall.

Wednesday, May 20, noon to 4 p.m., Eustis Town Hall.

Thursday, May 21, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Webster Hall, Kingfield.
