Seniors to meet
AUBURN – First Auburn Seniors will meet Wednesday, April 1, at the Hasty Community Center. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.; the regular meeting will be at 11 a.m.
Tickets will be on sale for a lasagna dinner on Wednesday, April 15. Cost is $4. Members will also be able to sign up for the anniversary dinner at Martindale on Wednesday, May 6.
Pat Donohue will be the auctioneer for the food auction following the regular meeting.
On March 18, 64 members attended the annual boiled dinner. Following dinner Don Nason entertained with his saxophone, playing Irish music for a sing-a-long.
Attendance winners were Bernice Mushlit and Marge Stewart; pot of gold, Don Nason, Carmela Hewitt and Bernice Mushlit.
Easter dinner
LEWISTON – Hope Haven Gospel Mission will provide a free Easter dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at 209 Lincoln St. All who are in need are welcome. The meal will be available to shut-ins as well. Call 783-6086 for delivery.
Fellowship
LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet on Monday, April 6, at the Lisbon Methodist Church, School Street. The gathering will begin for fellowship at 11:30 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. All interested widows in the area are invited to attend.
Two workshops
LEWISTON – The Maine Association of Nonprofits will offer two SkillBuilders in April:
“Give, Get or Get Off! Development vs. Fundraising and the Role of the Board,” presented by William F. Stockwell, from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 7, at SeniorsPlus.
“Nonprofit Marketing Power: How to Gain Essential Response, Resources, and Support,” presented by Gary Stern from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at SeniorsPlus.

Seek families
World Heritage Student Exchange is seeking local families interested in sharing their home to provide a high school exchange student a positive encounter with the U.S. The students are screened by World Heritage, are proficient in English, age 15 to 18 and come for the school year.

Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 24 were as follows: North/South, first, Alberta Turner and Luke Merry; second, Martine Begert and Jeanine Kivus; third, Errol Libby and Pete Cummings.
East/West, first, Rosemarie Goodwin and David Lock; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.
Winners of the quarterly club championship at Schooner Estates in Auburn on March 25 were: first, Anna Vitiello and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Flo and Paul Ludwig; third, Phil and Jean Bird; fourth, Paul Barber and Luke Merry.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games. Quarterly club championships will be played on Monday and Tuesday, March 30 and 31.
