AUBURN – Florence Ann Goodwin, 64, also known as Ann, of 83 No Name Pond Road in Lewiston, passed away Friday, March 27, at The Hospice House in Auburn, shortly after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 24, 1944, daughter of Stanley and Margaret Poor. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1963. She married her first love, David Goodwin, in 1963.

She worked at the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department for more than 20 years as a records clerk.

She was an avid fisherman and loved watching birds and tending to her gardens. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, mother, aunt, grandmother, great- grandmother and a dear friend to many.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Poor, of Hampden; her loving sister, Judith Wells, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her loving brother, Timothy Poor, of Auburn; her beloved husband of 46 years, David Goodwin; two daughters, Susan and her husband, Jeffrey Barton, of Albany Township, and Christine Goodwin, of Lewiston; grandchildren, David Barton of Mechanic Falls, Annika Barton of Lewiston, Aaron and his wife, Samantha Barton, of Waterford, Stephanie and her husband, Stephen St. Hilaire, of Fort Drum, N.Y., and Alexander Thomas of Lewiston; and one great-grandson, Nathaniel, son of Aaron and Samantha Barton.

She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Poor.
