Today’s savings: $4

There’s time to roast one more chicken or turkey, using Grandma’s stuffing recipe, before the weather gets too warm to fire up the oven. In prepping the bird, there’s no need to buy a bag of packaged dried bread crumbs.
Instead of throwing away bread loaf ends, tossing the crusts cut from sandwiches, or throwing away entire slices of stale bread, save the partial and stale pieces in the freezer until you have enough to make a stuffing.
If you do this a couple of times in six months, you could save about $4, plus you’ve reduced household waste.
