Lewiston crime bulletin

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Police Department responded to 640 calls for service from 7 a.m. March 20 to 7 a.m. March 27. Among them, were 192 motor vehicle stops.

Criminal mischief

A vehicle parked at Pub 33 had a tire slashed sometime before 7 p.m. March 20.

A window at 22 Strawberry Ave. was shot out by a pellet gun at 3 p.m. March 26.

A vehicle parked at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center at 45 Golder St. was keyed before 5 p.m. March 25.

A vehicle parked at 117 College St. had tires slashed overnight March 23-24.

A residence at 70 St. Croix St. had a window broken by a pellet gun before 7 a.m. March 27.

A vehicle parked at 40 East Ave. had its tire stems cut off before 10 p.m. March 26.

A vehicle parked in the Lewiston High School parking lot was egged between

7:30 a.m. and noon March 26.

A Lewiston Regional Technical Center bus that parked at 156 East Ave. had windows smashed out overnight March 22-23.

A vehicle parked at Del’s at 43 Walnut St. had a rear window broken between 6 p.m. March 23 and 8 a.m. March 24.

Thefts

A resident of 124 Holland St. had an iPod and docking station stolen from their apartment between 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. March 23.

A bicycle was taken from 90 College St. before 4 p.m. March 23.

The business sign for Pop Shop Diner was stolen from outside of 413 Main St. overnight March 23-24.

A laptop computer was stolen from Pettigrew Hall before noon March 23.

A black Tony Hawk stunt bike with front and rear pegs was stolen from 83-4 Strawberry Ave. between 4 and 9 p.m. March 20.

The Franco American Heritage Center’s sign was stolen from outside 46 Cedar St. between 13:30 and 3 p.m. March 23.

MV burglaries

A vehicle parked at 77 Sabattus St. was burglarized between 11:30 on March 24- 1:30 a.m. on March 25. A laptop was stolen.

A vehicle parked at 24 Foch St. was burglarized overnight March 21-22. A stereo was taken.

A vehicle parked at the New China Super Buffet at 40 East Ave. was burglarized between 5 and 6:30 p.m. March 23. Property was taken.

A vehicle parked in the Southern Gateway garage at 425 Lisbon St. was burglarized on March 23 at 4:20 p.m. Officers received a report of two juveniles who were seen going through vehicles.

Burglaries

An apartment at 78 Winter St. was burglarized prior to 4 p.m. on March 26. A Compaq laptop and an Xbox 360 were taken.

An apartment at 23 Howard St. was burglarized sometime prior to 2 p.m. on March 25.

Robbery arrests

Branden Staples, 21, Ryan Thompson, 19, and Joseph Thompson, 24, were arrested for robbery on March 23 at 12:07 a.m.. Officers were called for a report of a victim who had been jumped and beaten in the street. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering wounds from a physical assault; he also had $10 dollars stolen from him.

Operating under the influence arrest

Theresa Dietrich, 49, was arrested for operating under the influence on March 27 at 12:33 a.m. at 790 Sabattus St.

Warrants

Larry Maheux, 31, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for disorderly conduct.

Henry Maldonado, 25, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for OUI.

Justin Palmer, 19, is wanted on a warrant charging criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
