LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday for Henry M. Jalbert at Holy Cross Church, after prayers by the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt at The Fortin Group Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March officiated, assisted by the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt. The Rev. March recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Words of remembrance were shared by Henry’s three daughters, Diane, Marlene and Linda and the management from Rowe Auburn. Honorary bearers were Taylor Smith-Peterson, Cleve Rines, Jake Anderson, Shawn Carll, Greg Pettengill, Dean Swindler, Mike Morin and Debbie Hodgman. Pallbearers were all grandchildren, Kris and Nicholas Robitaille, Keith and Lisa Godin, Koreen Plourde and Scott, Craig and Kayla Gelinas. Military honors were provided by the Maine Funeral Honors Program. In Henry’s honor and for his many years of service at Rowe Auburn, his funeral cortege made its way through the Rowe Auburn dealership lot, where all employees were outside standing at attention and where Henry was called “to the showroom” on the paging system for the last time.
