DIXFIELD – Jody Giberson, 50, of Dixfield died on Friday, March 27, after a long struggle with cancer.

She was born in Connecticut, on Aug. 18, 1958. She moved to Maine as a little girl, where she attended Dixfield schools. She married Dick Giberson and raised her three children in Dixfield.

She worked part-time as a caregiver and full-time as a mother. She had a green thumb and enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers. She enjoyed making her family and others around her happy.

She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Sousa and Rene Giberson; her son, Ty Giberson, daughter-in-law, Kristen and their son, Mitchell; her lifelong friend, Kim Patterson; her brothers, Mac and Peter Cook; her sister, Debbie Cook; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Hal Cook and Jo Anne Cross.
