MEXICO – The following incidents were handled by Mexico police during the past week.

Arrest

• Jennifer Welch, 28, Angie Lane, Mexico, on warrants for failure to appear on theft charges, 9:40 a.m. March 20. She was released from the Mexico Police Department on $100 cash bail. She is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 7.

Accidents

• Deer crossing Route 2 between Coulthard’s Pools and Spas and Rowe’s Frosty Delite were hit last week.

• Jacob Brooks, 19, Byron Road, Peru, struck a deer as he was driving west in a 1997 Subaru station wagon at 7:04 p.m. March 26, causing $500 damage to the vehicle. The injured deer crawled into the Androscoggin River and was not located.

• An unknown motorist hit a deer near Rowe’s Frosty Delite on March 20. The deer was found lying beside the highway.

Incident

• A Mexico Avenue resident reported at 4:51 p.m. March 25 that someone had paint-balled his vehicle in front of his house.

Theft

• A Kimball Avenue resident reported at 3:45 p.m. March 25 that someone stole Oxycodone pills with a street value of $100, as well as a television satellite receiver and checkbook. Police have a suspect.
