FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force, in partnership with the Farmington Rotary, will host a free pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Homestead Bakery.
Parents and children are invited to have pancakes, fruit and juice served by the Farmington Rotary and the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, while the children hear stories read by a local state trooper.
After breakfast the children will have the opportunity to meet the trooper and present him with the county’s puzzle piece to be put together in the Hall of Flags in Augusta.
The Children’s Task Force will present each child who attends with a blue pinwheel, a symbol of childhood. The “Pinwheels for Prevention” theme is in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month to raise awareness that it takes a total community effort to support Maine families and children.
Anyone wishing more information may contact the Franklin County Children’s Task Force by calling 778-6960, or stopping by 113 Church St.
