LIVERMORE FALLS – Maine native and comedian Bob Marley is expected to light up the Livermore Falls High School gymnasium Saturday with his high-energy act.
The show proceeds will benefit the Class of 2009’s graduation.
Hundreds of tickets have been sold with a limited number left, a class adviser, Ken Landry said. Those remaining will be sold at the door for $15 each. Fifty percent of the ticket cost goes to benefit the Class of 2009, he said.
The show begins at 6 p.m.; doors will open at 5 p.m.
A group of parents and advisers have organized the show and other fundraisers to pay for the class’ Project Graduation trip to Big Adventure in Bethel. The funds raised also pay for caps and gowns, class gifts and other expenses.
The plan, Landry said, is to cover all graduation expenses for seniors and their parents.
The only other event held at the school that could rival this one over the years, he said, is when the Harlem Rockets came to play.
Marley, a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, is nationally known, Landry said.
“It’s a big deal,” he said.
