LEWISTON — Stephen Wessler, executive director of the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence, and area teachers started the day in Lewiston and were then touring the state Tuesday to stump for a bill to legalize same-sex marriage in Maine. They believe Maine schools could see an increase in harassment, bullying and violence if the bill fails to get approval from the Legislature and governor.
