In two months, Tripp Middle School will be starting softball season. The school’s team will be called the Tripp Tigers.

Last year we didn’t have enough seventh and eighth graders that signed up for softball so we had to make them one team. This year we got new seventh graders who played softball on the recreational team, so most of them will sign up for softball this year. That means that this year we will have a seventh grade team and an eighth grade team.

Most of the seventh graders are scared that they won’t make the team. The eighth graders will have enough people on the team so that they probably won’t have to make cuts. We will have two good softball teams in our school.

The only worry in softball is you have to make sure your grades are passing. Last year you could only be failing one class. If you are failing more than one class, you will have to sit out of practices and can’t play until you bring your grades up.

Last year we had a hard time trying to beat Oxford Hills. We could be the best team in the league. We are going to try and beat Oxford Hills this year.

Our goal this year is to be the best team in the league. We also want the best for the seventh graders. We want to win every game, but even if we lose one, then we will still try to win the others.

We are very excited to get a new seventh grade team and an even better eighth.
