Chapter to meet
LEWISTON – Chapter Martel, Association Canado-Americaine, will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, April 13, in the in Club 50 Room. A noon lunch will be held at Campus Cuisine. President Cecile Paradis’ agenda includes nomination of officers.
Swim registration
LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will begin registering swimmers for Introduction to Competitive Swimming on Monday, April 13. The class is for ages 5 to 14.
One-hour classes will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays beginning April 25 and continuing for seven weeks.
Cost is $55 for YWCA members and $75 for non-members. All instructors are certified by the American Red Cross.

Sodality to meet
LEWISTON – Rosary Sodality of St. Patrick Church will meet for recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the chapel, followed by a meeting and penny sale in the Msgr. Fitzpatrick Room.
The annual card party will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in Msgr. Gleason Hall. For card party tickets, call Geraldine Ricker at 782-1566 or Mary Booth at 783-2504. Refreshments will be served by Joyce Ouellette and her committee.
Club Richelieu
LEWISTON – Local Chapter of Club Richelieu International will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Dudley’s Restaurant. The agenda will include the 50th anniversary of the local club.
The association was founded on April 30, 1959, sponsored by Manchester, N.H., Richelieu Chapter. Its first interim president was Louis-Philippe Gagne, editor of the daily French paper.
Offering lessons
LEWISTON – The Bates College swim team will continue to offer a fall and spring swim lesson program.
The lesson program runs Monday through Thursday for two weeks for ages 3 and up. The cost is $80 for eight half-hour lessons with a member of the swim team. Proceeds will help fund the winter training trip. The next session will run Oct. 19 to 29.
