SABATTUS – The Sabattus Fire Department will issue burning permits between 8 and 10 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 30 at 72 Main St. A total of 15 permits will be issued each day.

Starting July 1, people will be required to go online to get permits at a cost of $7. The Web site is Maine.gov; under online services, click on burning permits. People can get burning permits Monday through Friday at the Town Office at 190 Middle Road.
