Army National Guard Pvt. Corey P. Lachance has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Lachance is the grandson of Sandra Lachance of Lisbon Falls and son of Michael Swan of Lisbon. He is a 2002 graduate of Lewiston High School.
Army Pvt. Edward T. West has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

Army Pvt. Timothy P. Wing has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of basic infantry training and advanced individual training.
Wing is the son of Paula Wing of Lewiston and brother of Nathan S.Q. Wing of Auburn. The private is a 1997 graduate of A.R. Gould High School, South Portland.
