AUBURN – Albert Ephraim Frost passed away March 23, at Clover Manor.

He was a Central Maine resident for virtually his entire life after his birth in East Poland on Oct. 8, 1917. His primary residence was the Frost family farm on Empire Road, where he assisted in the running of the family businesses.

He was also an employee of and corporate officer for the Central Maine Equipment Co. of Auburn. He developed a love for the American Southwest during his years of living and working in the Phoenix area. He also lived and worked for a short while in California.

His love was mineralogy and he devoted most of his efforts to his collection. His favorite collection was the one that included all of the minerals native to the state of Maine, most of which he had personally collected in the field.

He is survived by four married nephews, James and Sharon Frost of Burbank, Calif., Stuart and Pat Field of Queensbury, N.Y., David and Ellen Field of New Gloucester and Michael and Lenora Field of Fairfield, Conn.; three grandnephews and two grandnieces, Michael, Steven, Kristen, Elizabeth and Evan.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy Field, Reana Frost and Edmund Frost.

The family would like to extend its thanks to the staff of Clover Manor for the loving care they provided Albert these past few years.
