MIAMI (AP) – A Miami nut company is recalling its pistachio products due to a health concern.
Barnard Nut Company spokesman Abel Menendez says the recall was issued Wednesday as a precaution due to a similar recall by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc. Menendez says no illnesses have been reported.
The other recall was due to contamination with salmonella.
Consumers who have purchased products such as Nuts About Florida Pistachios or La Botana de Don Pepe Pistachios should return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund, or call the Barnard Nut Company at 305-836-9999.
