LEWISTON – Caroline Mulholland, 50, of Rangeley, remained in critical condition Saturday night at Central Maine Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.

Mulholland apparently suffered a head injury when she fell down a set of stairs at her boyfriend’s home on April 5, said Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland. Her condition was so serious that she was taken by medical helicopter to CMMC. State police are trying to determine what happened, McCausland said Saturday.

The woman’s boyfriend, Wayne C. Seaman, 50, was arrested Monday when he interfered with police investigating her injuries. He got into a scuffle with police and was arrested for assault and refusing to submit to arrest.
