The recent flap between Comcast Sports Net and Time Warner was just another case of someone getting greedy. I already pay enough for cable television and get stations I don’t want. Why cause a stir about a popular channel? Very poor way of blindsiding Celtics fans.
In these tough economic times, why not let things stand pat, at least until things get better. If ComCast wants to cut costs, it could eliminate the pre- and post-game shows; cut the courtside reporting (which is a joke); or finding another announcer who doesn’t try so hard to be the next Johnny Most.
With the state contemplating higher taxes on recreation, TV watching may be the only form of pleasure the public can afford.
Comcast shouldn’t have been so greedy and Time Warner needs to think about better packages to offer its subscribers.
