LEWISTON – A funeral Mass honoring the life of Alice D. Morin was celebrated on Tuesday at Holy Family Church, after prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of Mass, Alice’s children, Rosaire Morin, Louise LeTourneau and Denise Flonc draped their mother’s casket with the baptismal pall that commemorates their mother’s baptism into new life. During the Mass the first reading was done by Mrs. Morin’s granddaughter, Celeste Misodoulakis. The prayer of the faithful was read by Mrs. Morin’s granddaughter, Janice Baker. The offertory was brought to the altar by Mrs. Morin’s granddaughter, Christine Moussavian and her great-grandchildren, Monica and Nicholas Moussavian. At the conclusion of the Mass, words of remembrance were expressed by Mrs. Morin’s grandchildren, Lisa and Sue Morin. Pallbearers were Greg and Alex Misodoulakis, Rodney Hanscomb, Benjamin Allen and Normand and Jeffrey Gagne. A reception of fellowship was held at DaVinci’s Restaurant after the committal services at the cemetery.
