FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots will play one of the toughest schedules in the NFL in 2009, and they now know the dates for each game.

After opening the season with a previously announced Monday night game against Buffalo on Sept. 14, the Patriots will travel to New York the following Sunday to face the Jets.

Other highlights of the schedule released Tuesday night include a trip to Denver on Oct. 4 to play the Broncos, now coached by former New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

As previously announced, the Patriots will travel to London on Oct. 25 to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That will be followed by the team’s bye week.

The second half of the season includes three prime-time games: Sunday, Nov. 15 at Indianapolis; Monday, Nov. 30 at New Orleans; and Sunday, Dec. 6 at Miami.

The regular season ends Sunday, Jan. 3 against the Texans in Houston.
