AUBURN – Funeral services honoring the life of Allan Thurston were celebrated Wednesday at Court Street Baptist Church with the Rev. David Clark and the Rev. Allison Vanderlinden presiding. During the service words of remembrance were shared by several members of the congregation in honor of Allan. Also, Allan’s granddaughter, Becky read a tribute written by Alans daughter Nancy in honor of her father. Graveside committal prayers were recited at Gracelawn Memorial Park by both the Revs. Clark and Vanderlinden before the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Allan’s wife, Rose, for services rendered by her husband, Allan, to his country during World War II. Pallbearers were Michael Pomeroy, Arthur, Howard, Matthew, and Mark Gary, as well as William, David, and Bruce Tufts. At the conclusion of services at the cemetery all were invited back to Court Street Baptist Church Hall for a reception of fellowship. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel.
