Regarding Rex Rhoades’ recent column in which he was critical of MPBN … I do want newspapers to continue to exist, and I continue to subscribe to the Sun Journal.
That said, I want to point out that I get a lot more for my voluntary annual subscription to MPBN — $35 plus an occasional $10 gift — than I get from my $200 annual mandatory subscription to Sun Journal.
I say mandatory in the sense that if I don’t pay, I don’t get a paper. On the other hand, if I shouldn’t send any money to MPBN, I’d still be able to hear several hours of classical music, several hours of news and in-depth explorations of current events and ideas.
