WASHINGTON – Steady rain has washed out the Philadelphia Phillies’ game at Washington, keeping the Nationals winless for at least one more day.

No makeup date for the Wednesday night game was announced.

The Nationals have lost their first seven games, all but one on the road, the only winless team left in the major leagues.

The pitching matchup scheduled for Wednesday will remain intact. Phillies right-hander Joe Blanton, who is 0-0 with a 15.75 ERA, will be opposed by Washington right-hander Shairon Martis, who is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA.
