RUMFORD – Funeral services for Dr. Charles W. “Bill” Hersey of Auburn, formerly of Rumford Center, were conducted Saturday at the Virgin Memorial Chapel of the Rumford United Methodist Church, Rumford, with the Rev. R. Kelly Harvell officiating.
Organist/pianist was Judy Kuhn.
James Hersey read Psalm 121, and Matt Hersey read from Ecclesiastes as James Chandler presented a slide presentation. David Hersey presented the Gospel, and Forest Bradford read the poem “Real Men.”
Jane Chandler gave the Eulogy.
Hymns included “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “How Great Thou Art.”
The Church Belles sang “Love Through ME.”
The Church Belles and Beaus sang “The Journey.”
A reception followed in the dining hall of the church.
Arrangements were under the care of Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
