KVAC: Edward Little has the depth, numbers and talent to win the Class A side for the sixth straight year. Indoor champion Brunswick is a major threat to that defense. Lewiston will challenge for a place in the top three at the conference and top five at states, with Mt. Ararat and Morse also in the mix. Waterville is a prohibitive favorite in the ‘B’ division.

WMC: Falmouth and Greely are the favorites in Class B, with Poland hopeful of cracking the top five. Ben Miklovich’s strength in sprints alone makes G-NG a threat in the big meets. Defending state champion North Yarmouth Academy wears the bull’s-eye in Class C.

MVC: The field will be chasing Lisbon. The Greyhounds might also have the strength to topple longtime nemesis NYA at Class C states. Never overlook Winthrop at the MVC competition, either. And Telstar will get points aplenty from sprinter Frankie DelDuca.
