Lewiston High School math students of Mary Rider’s have siblings come to school to exchange ideas. Geometry students in her class had an assigned project to teach third- and fourth-graders all that they have learned about quadrilaterals. The assignment was to make a presentation in any form (children’s book, PowerPoint, poster, etc), to younger students. The younger students had to judge the older students on their presentations. Objectives such as vocabulary, clear information, presentation and uniqueness were graded. Younger students learned all about the characteristics of different members of the quadrilateral family, while the older students learned if they were on target teaching about the subject matter. Working on the project are Kourtney Bartlett and her brother Norris, while Cody Woodward looks on.
