FARMINGTON – Barbara “Carole” Castonguay, 70, of Federal Road, Livermore, died very unexpectedly from complications of Huntington’s Disease, Friday, April 24, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

She was born June 4, 1938, in Old Town, the daughter of Arthur and Antoinette “Angie” (Perry) Goulet. Barbara attended Livermore Falls High School.

On Feb. 27, 1960, at St. Rose of Lima Church, she married her husband of 49 years, Paul Castonguay of Livermore Falls. Barbara was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing and walking. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Castonguay, of Livermore; three sons, Peter A. Castonguay and his wife, Alicia, of Wisconsin, Paul R. Castonguay Jr. and his wife, Sondra, of Fayette, and Larry J. Castonguay and his wife, Dawn, of Jay; two daughters, Angela C. McDaniel and her husband, Torrie, of Livermore, and Paulette Poole and her husband, Lynn, of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Elaine Dubord of Livermore, and Jeannine Lyman of Livermore Falls.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Everett Goulet and Joseph Cormier; and two sisters, Theodate Bernard and Bunny Plourde.
