A brush fire swept through a remote area between Merton Boulevard and the Promenade Mall in Lewiston on Saturday. The area is popular with off-road motorcycles and four wheelers, neighbors said. The fire was reported around 1:30. The Salvation Army Emergency Canteen Service was on scene to support fire crews.
