Albert Maberry, left, of Chesterville participates in the 20th annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk with members of his family in Lewiston on Saturday morning. About 325 people raised money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society while walking various distances on a beautiful morning. “I put in a request for no rain,” said Mike Roy, chairperson of the Androscoggin County MS Walk. With the downturn in the economy, Roy said the goal was to raise $50,000, the same amount that was raised during the 2008 walk. “We were told not to expect what we raised last year,” said Roy. “But we don’t want to go backwards,” he said. Maberry’s family from right are his brother Bob Maberry of Oxford, his niece Kathy Tice of South Paris and his sister Linda Kimball of Poland. Albert Maberry was diagnosed with MS 11 years ago.
