AUBURN – Blanche A. Strout, 85, a resident of Lewiston, died Sunday, April 26, at the Hospice House, after a short illness, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, May 18, 1923, the daughter of Eugene and Clements (Begin) Hussey. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family was always the priority of her life.

Survivors include eight sons, Winfield Jr. of Ohio, Larry and wife, Veronica, of North Carolina, Bob and wife, Joan, of Lewiston, Arthur of Chicago, Gary and wife, Colleen, of Port Orchard, Wash., Donald and wife, Cathy, of Biddeford, John and wife, Sue, of Virginia and Fern of Old Orchard; five daughters, Nancy and husband, Don, of Richmond, Linda and husband, Raynald, of Lewiston, Pamela and husband, Allen, of Madison, Brenda and husband, Bill, of Idaho, and Tammy and husband, Steve, of Sabattus; two sisters, Rita and Marie, both of Auburn; two brothers, Lawrence and Delma, both of Massachusetts; 26 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Winfield Sr.; one son, Lawrence; one daughter, Juanita; one sister, Eunice; and one brother, Walter.
