Society supper

STRONG – The Strong Historical Society will meet Wednesday, May 6, with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and a meeting at 7 at the Vance and Dorothy Hammond house. The public is welcome. For more information, call 684-5291.

Contradance set

FARMINGTON – A contradance will be held Saturday, May 9, in the Farmington Grange, Bridge Street. Easy family dances will take place from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at a cost of $2 for adults and $1 for children.

The regular dance will be held at 8 p.m. Admission is $6 (minus family dance price) or $5 for students. The caller will be Richard Green and the band, Racket Factory. All dances are taught and called and no partner is necessary. All are welcome. For more information, call 491-9928.

Rabies clinic

SALEM – A rabies clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Salem Fire Station. Vaccines will be given by the Clearwater Veterinary Hospital.

The price is $8 a pet. A three-year vaccine will be given with proof of previous vaccine. Tags and certificates will be given. It is sponsored by the Salem Fire Department Auxiliary.
