Dear Sun Spots: I have a KitchenAid stand mixer that needs repair. Would you or any readers know where I could take this to get it fixed? Thank you for all the wonderful answers that you provide. I have found many answers to questions that I didn’t have to ask. – Misty, Lisbon.
Answer: A customer service representative at KitchenAid told us that there are no authorized KitchenAid repair centers in Maine. We urge any readers that can help to contact the column.
Dear Sun Spots: Please donate your used cell phones and ink jet cartridges to help raise much needed funds for 100 Pine St. Wellness and Recovery Center in Lewiston. We are collecting used cell phones and cartridges through December for the purpose of balancing our budget and for activities. We will receive money from Phoneraiser for each item collected during the fundraiser.
All cell phones and ink jet cartridges are accepted and may be donated at the following locations: Wal-Mart, Auburn; Common Ties Mental Health; Tri-County; St. Mary’s; Shaw’s; Liberty Mutual; City of Lewiston; Bates College; Hannaford; DHHS offices; City of Auburn and L-A College. – Jean Nielsen, Lewiston.
Dear Sun Spots: My name is Jane Barron and I head the Cuddles Program for the Woman’s Hospital Association.
I want to thank your readers for the overwhelming amount of stuffed animals sent to us. I want to ask people to stop bringing them in temporarily as we have a storage problem (no more for three months).
When you bring them in, please follow this criteria: no hard objects, no battery operated animals, no larger than 15 inches and only gently used animals with no odor.
If you could print this hopefully it will slow down the avalanche of stuffed animals. – Jane, Lewiston.
Dear Sun Spots: About a week ago, you had someone inquire about getting a vac repaired. It might have been an Electrolux? I sell and repair commercial and residential floor care systems. I may be reached at 39 Jordan Road, Mechanic Falls, or call 345-5101 or 446-1590. Thank you! – Robert Russell, Mechanic Falls.
