FARMINGTON – The film “The Way We Get By” will return for two more days to the Narrow Gauge Theater at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, April 29 and 30.

The documentary about Maine troop greeters at the Bangor Airport played at the theater for four nights earlier this month, but demand was so high it sold out every night, according to a statement issued by Warren Cook, the film’s executive producer.

“It is so encouraging to see the impact that the film is having on audiences here in Maine and out of state,” Cook, of Kingfield, said in a statement. “It is motivating people to come together to serve their communities, just like the three main characters in the film have done as troop greeters in Bangor.”

The film was also received by an enthusiastic audience at the International Film Festival in Boston last weekend and was screened Tuesday in New York City.

The film is slated for national broadcast on PBS’ “Point of View” later this year.

The film was made in association with American Documentary Inc., Point of View, Independent Television Service, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, WGBH and Maine Public Broadcasting Network.

Sponsors are Documentary Educational Resources and International Documentary Association. “The Way We Get By” was part of the 2007-08 WGBH Filmmakers in Residence Program.
