LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – A convicted sex offender with a self-admitted foot fetish has pleaded guilty to raping a woman who woke up in a motel room to find him sucking her toes.

The Sun of Lowell reports John Traywick pleaded guilty Tuesday in Lowell Superior Court to rape and other charges.

Prosecutors dropped a kidnapping charge and reduced an aggravated rape charge to rape.

The judge indicated he would impose a 7 to 8-year prison sentence. Prosecutors plan to ask for 16 years at a sentencing hearing next Tuesday.

Prosecutors say in May 2006, Traywick took a 24-year-old woman who passed out in his truck after drinking at a bar to his motel room where he raped her. When she awoke, the 45-year-old Traywick was sucking her toes.

Traywick claimed the acts were consensual.
