LEWISTON – A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lauriette Gagnon was celebrated by the Rev. Nathan March on Saturday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish in Lewiston, following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home.

Lauriette’s nephew, Dick Blais, carried his aunt’s urn to the altar at the beginning of services. The Old Testament reading was proclaimed by Laurie’s niece, Michelle McGrath. The Prayer of the Faithful was proclaimed by her nephew, John St. Hilaire. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by her nieces,Carol Chabot, and Johane Blais.

Words of remembrance were shared by Lauriette’s nephew, Guy Gagnon, and her brother, Bert Gagnon.

Following a procession to St.Peter’s Cemetery, committal prayers were recited by the Rev. March and at the conclusion of prayers, all in attendance were invited to the Carriage House Banquet Facility in Lewiston.
