SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) – Maine’s only in vitro fertilization center is closing.
Officials at Maine Medical Center say the center was not attracting enough patients.
The Maine Center for Reproductive Health in South Portland, Maine, is equipped to retrieve a woman’s eggs and implant embryos. Maine Med told WMTW-TV the center was performing only half the number of procedures it was projected to handle.
